Cancer Resources

For kids and families going through pediatric cancer treatment, hope is a very powerful word. Here are a few vital organizations that work every day to make that hope real. These organizations offer valuable pediatric cancer and leukemia resources.

Be The Match

Be The Match offers people the unique opportunity to help a cancer patient by donating bone marrow or umbilical cord blood. Thousands of patients with blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, sickle cell and other life-threatening diseases depend on Be The Match Registry to find a match.

When an unrelated marrow transplant is the only hope for a cure, patients and their families count on the National Marrow Donor Program and Be The Match. Over the past 25 years we have made 50,000 transplants possible, and we continue to lead the way, bringing hope to thousands more each year.

The Leukemia Research Foundation

Someone is diagnosed with leukemia or lymphoma every 5 minutes. Leukemia accounts for about 30% of cancer cases in children ages 0-14. The Leukemia Research Foundation (LRF) expanded its mission to include blood cancers other than leukemia – we provide research and help those with lymphoma, and myelodysplastic syndromes as well.
